"HOT TO GO!" is a song by American singer-songwriter Chappell Roan. It was released on August 11, 2023 and later became the ninth and final single off of Roan's debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The track was Roan's second release after signing with Amusement Records (Daniel Nigro's imprint of Island Records).[1] The song began charting in May 2024, following the success of "Good Luck, Babe!".
Background[]
After being dropped by Atlantic Records in August 2020,[2][3] Roan began working on her music independently while working a series of jobs. She then earned a publishing deal with Sony, and released a string of independent singles, "Naked In Manhattan", "My Kink Is Karma", "Femininomenon" and "Casual".[4] After signing with long time collaborator Daniel Nigro's imprint label, Amusement Records, Roan released the single "Kaleidoscope".[1] "HOT TO GO!" was created so Roan "could live out [her] cheerleader fantasy!"[5] The song has been compared stylistically to "YMCA" by Village People.
A demo of the song featuring a different bridge was featured as a bonus track on Tidal but it went unnoticed until September 1, 2024.

Musically, "HOT TO GO!" is a dance-pop track with new wave and bitpop influences. It's composed in the key of A♭ Major and has a tempo of 92 beats per minute.
