Background[]
After the release of Roan's Kayleigh Rose EP but before the recording of School Nights, in 2015 Roan recorded this song and "Uppercut" with intention of them being released as stand-alone singles the following year. However, in 2016 Roan started making new music for what would eventually become School Nights, and the idea was abandoned.
In 2016, Roan reworked the song for School Nights alongside "Die Young". On March 16, 2017, Roan released the song with a music video and announced it as lead single for School Nights.[1]
The song, along with the rest of School Nights, was considered for a release on Roan's album Lavish as a "Disc 1", but the idea was later scrapped.

The song talks about a girl who is in love with someone and feels childish whenever she's near them, as if they were in school during the night.
