The song was originally intended for Roan's debut studio album, Lavish, though as Roan stated, “The song was made way to late in the process to make it”, and thus it was scrapped from the album.
Roan later decided to release the song only via CD as a b-side to "Hold Me Down". She announced the release on December 29, 2023:
